Interviewed second year ECS students regarding how they choose their optional modules. Very interesting input. Discovered that students choose their option according to lecturer, subject taught, when the module runs but also according to the assessment pattern. (Some students will choose coursework-based modules, while others choose modules with exams. I will therefore add the assessment pattern in MiCourse.
Had project meeting (AGC, MC, PT). We all agreed to purchase iPads rather than hire them (hire cost is only half of buy cost). I demonstrated course app (MiCourse) and puzzle (MiGame).
Added a reload button to MiGame, but needs further work. Even on the iPad installed app, the reload makes a connection to reload from the server. Need to try with file bundle.
Phil has now completed the iOS part of MiGame that allows the app to be a native app with a Web Panel. He has also uploaded it on both our iPads. The app seems to work well. We need to try to upload the XHTML file also as a bundle.
I have now completed iPad puzzle to be incorporated in a Web Panel.
Phil has completed 1st version of iPad course app iOS development. He also managed to deploy it to both our iPads. I can continue to develop the course app (web) and the app will automatically pick up the latest version.
I have now completed Level 4 of the iPad course app prototype & Level5 1st level. This currently excludes module descriptions. I will now seek feedback from the project team.
